2015-06-24
Euro NCAP tests consist of 4 crash tests and 1 crash avoidance test. The frontal Impact takes place at 64 Km/h, 40% of the width of the car striking a deformable barrier. In the Full Width test, 100% of the width of the car the car impact a rigid barrier at 50 Km/h. In the side impact, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door at 50 km/h. In the pole test, the car tested is propelled sideways at 32 km/h into a rigid pole. For AEB Inter-Urban systems, Euro NCAP evaluates the automatic brake function and the forward collision warning function in 3 different driving scenarios: Driving towards a stationary vehicle (30-80km/h); closing in at a slower vehicle in front (30-80km/h) and following a car in front which suddenly starts braking (50km/h, gentle and harsh braking).
